Matthew Morris

Matthew Morris is an associate in the Financial Services Group in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office.

Matt’s practice focuses on lending transactions, representing lenders and borrowers as part of the firm's Financial Services lending team. Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Matt articled at a midsize Saskatchewan law firm, where he gained broad corporate commercial experience (including financing and enforcement) and assisted with a wide range of clients across a variety of industries.

Matt received his Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan, where he was actively involved in the Saskatoon community through various volunteering roles. Prior to law school, Matt obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan and completed an internship with a leading international accounting firm.
