Cleantech Building Materials plc lists on NASDAQ First North, Copenhagen

Gowling WLG's Corporate team assisted client Cleantech Building Materials plc (Cleantech) to list on Copenhagen's NASDAQ First North market in January 2017.

Gowling WLG assisted the UK-incorporated company to set itself up as a cash shell in early 2015, and then worked with Cleantech on its previous admission of shares to the UK Listing Authority's Official List (standard listing segment) and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities in February 2015.

At the same time as listing on Nasdaq First North, Copenhagen, Gowling WLG offered further support by acting on a share for share exchange offer for Diamond Wood China Limited, a Hong Kong-incorporated company whose business involves the exclusive import and distribution of Accoya® Wood in the China and ASEAN markets. The offer valued Diamond Wood China Limited at over £15 million.

This was a fairly unique Listing, as Cleantech is one of only four UK-incorporated companies (out of close to 500) currently listed on Nasdaq First North. This list is Nasdaq's European growth market, operating parallel to the main market but with less regulated listing requirements and ongoing disclosure rules.
