On March 1, 2019, The Rocket Science Group (dba Mailchimp) acqui-hired the team behind Vancouver-based LemonStand eCommerce Inc.
Mailchimp is a marketing automation platform and an email marketing service headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The company acquired LemonStand to bring more integrated e-commerce features into its platform.
Gowling WLG was Canadian counsel to Mailchimp in this acquisition with a team that included Peter Fairey (corporate/M&A); Maxwell Brunette and Kristen Cruise (employment); Brent Kerr and Michael Bussmann (tax); and Anita Yuk (corporate/tax); assisted by student at law Kean Silverthorn.
