Gowling WLG's global corporate team advises on dual listing

International law firm Gowling WLG has used its combined Canadian and UK expertise in relation to the £8.8 million funding and AIM admission of Arrow Exploration Corp, a Canadian TSX-V listed company with oil and gas exploration and production assets in Canada and Colombia.

The funding was undertaken by way of a placing and subscription for new common shares with new investors, its executive management and Canacol Energy Ltd. In addition, the Company intends to raise up to an additional C$0.5 million by way of a non-brokered private placement in Canada. Gowling WLG's London and Calgary offices collaborated in providing advice to the Company in connection with the dual listing, The transatlantic team involved various members of the firm's natural resources team, including Canadian partners Stuart Olley and Jay Lalach in Calgary and partner Charles Bond, director Sue Johnston and trainee Hannah Barnett in the UK .

Commenting on the significance of the deal to the client's international exploration focus, Charles Bond said: "It has been a pleasure to assist one of our existing Canadian clients come to the London markets. I look forward to seeing Arrow achieve its international ambitions on the back of this investment and listing."
