A cross-firm team led by corporate partner Neil Hendron and senior associate Roisin Bergin, has advised Medux, a leading provider of homecare and mobility aids in the Netherlands, on its acquisition of Medequip, a UK provider of community equipment and complementary services.

NPM sponsored Medux supplies more than 1.5 million medical devices annually via its brands Medipoint, HartingBank and Atlas Kidtech. In the UK Medequip visits more than 1.3 million customers every year delivering community equipment services, technology enabled care services, planned preventative maintenance and minor adaptations.

The legal team advising Medux was led by corporate partner Neil Hendron and senior associate Roisin Bergin, working with corporate associate Hannah Gough. The corporate team was supported by a cross-firm team including Elizabeth Emerson (Tax), Stephen White (Real Estate), Eleanor Lamb and Rachel Turley (Pensions), Megan Dudley and Danielle Klepping (Commercial Contracts), Victoria Pegg and Hannah Swindle (Employment), Samantha Holland (Insurance) and Samuel Beighton (Antitrust).

Commenting on the team's role, Neil said: "It has been a pleasure to act for Medux on this exciting transaction. There is a continuing shift (both in the UK and in Europe generally) towards facilitating independent living, enabling people to live at home for longer and providers of CES are an important part of making this possible. We look forward to seeing how the Medequip business continues to develop under Medux ownership".
