Our M&A and Private Equity team has advised Mac Mic Strategic Land Ltd (Mac Mic Strategic Land) on a joint venture with an affiliate of Cerberus Capital Management (Cerberus).
Cerberus has acquired a majority stake in Mac Mic Strategic Land allowing for substantial investment and enabling the strategic land specialist to accelerate its UK expansion and deepen its impact in addressing the country's urgent housing needs. The partnership enables an operational capacity to scale up delivery, explore new regions, and support landowners and communities more effectively.
Mac Mic Strategic Land, established in 2009 by Mactaggart & Mickel, is part of a proud fourth-generation Scottish business specialising in property, land and investment. Drawing on more than a century of expertise, the company remains dedicated to unlocking land value for landowners in a responsible way, guided by principles of thoughtful and sustainable design. This new partnership reinforces Mac Mic Strategic Land's commitment to these enduring values.
The M&A and Private Equity team was led by Partner Neil Hendron, supported by Principal Associate Sian Dewing, Associate Ruairi O'Grady and Partner Kate Featherstone from the Tax team with further support from Legal Director Hannah Swindle and Trainee Al Budrikas.
