Gowling WLG advises Round Hill Music on its successful IPO, raising US$282 million

A team of corporate experts from international law firm Gowling WLG has advised Round Hill Music Royalty Fund Limited ("Round Hill Music") on its successful IPO on the Specialist Fund Segment of the London Stock Exchange's main market. Dealings in Round Hill Music's shares commenced on 13 November 2020.

As part of the IPO, Round Hill Music raised US$282 million by way of an institutional placing and an offer for subscription. The proceeds of the issue will be used by Round Hill Music to acquire a portfolio of music copyright interests including the works of artists such as The Beatles, Celine Dion, The Rolling Stones, James Brown, The Supremes, Phil Collins and Bruno Mars.

Corporate partner Nick Heather led the team supported by fellow corporate partner John Reed, associates Chris Kay and Emily Airton and trainee solicitor Sarah Bower.

Commenting on the deal and outlook for the firm's new client, Nick Heather said: "We are delighted to have advised Round Hill Music Royalty Fund on its successful IPO, which is the second largest fund IPO in London this year.
