Gowling WLG welcomes new restructuring and insolvency partner

Gowling WLG has welcomed a new partner, Tom Pringle, to its UK restructuring and insolvency team.

Tom will lead Gowling WLG's restructuring and insolvency team in London and joins the firm with more than 15 years of experience advising lenders, turnaround professionals, insolvency practitioners, businesses, directors and other stakeholders on strategic and legal issues in times of distress.

Prior to joining the firm Tom was a partner at Womble Bond Dickinson and has previously been part of the banking and restructuring team at Pinsent Masons in London. He is a full member of the Insolvency Lawyers Association and of R3 - The Association of Business Recovery Professionals.

Commenting on his appointment, Tom said: "I'm excited to be joining the team at Gowling WLG. The firm has a fantastic platform on which to continue to grow its strong restructuring practice and has a great opportunity to build on the firm foundations the team have already created. As well as a strong presence in the UK, Gowling WLG's international footprint in Europe, Asia and the Americas opens up significant opportunities for cross-border work, which I am looking forward to getting involved in working closely with Jasvir Jootla, Julian Pallett and the wider team."

Jasvir Jootla, head of restructuring and corporate recovery in the UK, said: "Tom has a wealth of experience and strong credentials advising stakeholders across multiple sectors, including a specialism in consumer energy. Tom's arrival will build on and increase our support to clients and we are extremely pleased to have him on board."
