Catherine Brayley rejoins Gowling WLG's Tax Group in Vancouver

Gowling WLG is pleased to welcome back Catherine (Cathie) Brayley as counsel to its Tax Group.

Based in the firm's Vancouver office, Cathie has over 37 years' experience guiding clients through all types of tax complexities, including with respect to Canada Revenue Agency audits and appeals, mergers and acquisitions, international and domestic investment structures, transactional insurance, and personal tax and estate planning.

Previously a partner and former leader of Gowling WLG's Tax Group from 1998 to 2003, Cathie's arrival complements the strength of the firm's practice group. "We're thrilled to have Cathie back at Gowling WLG," said Brent Kerr, managing partner of Gowling WLG's Vancouver office. "Her extensive experience in handling intricate tax matters, coupled with her strong leadership skills, make Cathie a valuable addition to our tax team and a significant resource for our clients."

Beyond her professional practice, Cathie is a valued contributor to the tax community. She has served on the Board of Governors of the Canadian Tax Foundation and is currently the past chair.
