Daniel Scott

Daniel Scott is a partner in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practising in the Business Law Group.

His practice focuses on corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, and debt and equity finance.

Daniel has considerable experience advising technology and knowledge-based companies. He also has represented entities from a variety of other sectors, including the cannabis and shipping industries.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Daniel practised at a boutique business law firm with a focus on the technology sector. His experience also includes working in Bermuda with a leading Bermudian firm where his practice was primarily comprised of international transactional work.

  • Represented Dynex Power Inc. in a privatization transaction whereby Zhuzhou CRRC Times Electric Co., Ltd. acquired all of the shares of Dynex that it did not already own
  • Represented Neptec Design Group Ltd. in its sale to Maxar Technologies Inc.
  • Represented Standard Innovation Corporation in its sale to Womanizer Group Management GmbH
  • Represented BTI Systems Inc. in its sale to Juniper Networks, Inc.
