Kevin Sartorio

Kevin is a senior intellectual property (IP) litigator in Gowling WLG's Toronto office.

As a partner with the firm since 2007, Kevin's expertise is extensive and covers all areas of IP contentious work, including patent, design, trademark, copyright and trade secret litigation. Kevin has acted in numerous trial and appellate matters before all levels of courts, including four times in the Supreme Court of Canada -- most notably for the successful Law Society in the seminal copyright decision CCH Canadian Ltd. v. Law Society of Upper Canada.

Kevin is regularly and consistently ranked as one of Canada's leading IP lawyers and litigators by prominent ranking services.

Kevin has authored and co-authored several papers, articles and commentaries, and presented to various organizations, all in relation to Canadian intellectual property matters. His papers and presentations include:
