Alexander De Sousa

Alexander De Sousa is an associate in Gowling WLG's Hamilton office. He recently obtained a JD/MBA from Osgoode Hall Law School and Schulich School of Business. Before attending law school, Alexander completed his BA in History (Honours) at the University of Toronto.

During law school, Alexander used work and extracurriculars to build practical skills. As a member of Osgoode Hall's Mediation Clinic, he gained valuable direct experience through the facilitation of mediations in the local community and in the 2020 International Chamber of Commerce Mediation Competition in Paris, France.

Alexander has also worked in a business capacity with start-ups and small businesses during various stages of their growth, helping them navigate unique business and technology concerns.

During his MBA, Alexander was also a member of the Schulich School of Business Case Team, where he participated in various case competitions -- competitions which allowed him to focus on solving business problems while gaining presentation and communication skills, and which helped to secure first place finishes at the DeGroote Strategy and MBA Games competitions.

In his spare time, Alexander is an avid golfer and enjoys trying new restaurants, and cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs and Green Bay Packers.
