Anita Yuk
Anita is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Vancouver office. A member of the firm’s Business Law Department, she maintains a broad practice in the areas of tax and corporate law.
Anita advises public and private corporations, small business owners, professionals, partnerships, tax-exempt entities and individuals, start-ups, and non-residents on a wide variety of matters across a range of sectors, including: mining and other natural resources, real estate, manufacturing, retail, hotel, technology, and the life sciences. She also has experience with dispute resolution, particularly relating to regulatory offences and shareholder disputes, both in and out of court.
With her experience, Anita is well-positioned to efficiently help clients by providing structuring advice, addressing tax issues in mergers and acquisitions, including transactions involving foreign affiliates, and advising on a number of corporate matters, including reorganizations, governance, financings, and cross-border transactions.
She currently serves on the board of the Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon, as well as the Recruitment Committee and the Diversity and Inclusion Council of Gowling WLG's Vancouver office.
Anita joined the firm in 2016 as a summer student and returned as an articling student in 2017. She obtained her JD with Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan and her BSc from the University of British Columbia.
She is fluent in English and Cantonese.
