Beth Bloor

Beth is an associate within the global Corporate Practice in the UAE with experience working on private acquisitions and disposals, corporate restructures, private equity and venture capital investments and initial public offerings. Beth works with a wide spectrum of clients providing commercial value alongside legal advice.

Prior to joining Gowling, Beth previously worked as a corporate lawyer at international law firm Squire Patton Boggs within their UK Leeds office.

Experience

  • Advised the Founder of the Advanced Watertek Group, a leading OEM and service provider for membrane-based water and wastewater systems across the UAE, on the sale of the Group to Gradiant.
  • Facilitated multiple venture capital investments in entities across the Middle East for clients, including Abu Dhabi government owned funds.
  • Successfully advised the management team of Specialist People Services Group Limited on LDC's exit, incoming investment from Pricoa Private Capital and the subsequent sale of the Group's specialist rail recruitment and services division.
  • Assistance provided to ClearCourse, a software and payments business, for strategic acquisitions, including those of Pursuit Software Limited and Club Systems International Limited.
  • Advised Endless LLP on their $45 million acquisition of Amscan International, the world's largest designer, manufacturer and distributor of wholesale party products & supplies.
  • Facilitated LDC's exit and substantial investment from Sun Capital for Adler & Allan, a leading UK environmental risk reduction specialist.
  • Assisted the shareholders of Ingenuity Digital Holdings Limited on their sale to Bridgepoint Development Capital and worked to facilitate follow-on bolt-on acquisitions for the IDHL Group, including the acquisitions of Fostr Limited and Ampersand Commerce Limited.
  • Advised games label Team17 Group Plc, on its £217 million AIM market IPO.
  • Coordinated legal entity rationalisation processes for various clients to facilitate company reorganisations.
