Brigeeta Richdale is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Vancouver office and a member of the Intellectual Property group, where she advises global brand owners and luxury brands on enforcement, regulatory investigations and litigation strategy, both domestically and across borders.
Drawing on her background as a former securities prosecutor and criminal investigator, Brigeeta helps clients navigate fast-moving enforcement actions, investigations and regulatory risk. Her counsel is often sought in matters where IP strategy intersects with market conduct, reputational exposure and regulatory scrutiny—particularly in highly regulated or digitally exposed sectors.
Brigeeta is known for her work on high-stakes matters involving counterfeit goods, online piracy and insider trading. She regularly represents companies in the technology, manufacturing, retail and entertainment sectors before Canada’s Federal Court, helping protect brand assets and preserve market position.
An accredited Certified Fraud Examiner by the ACFE, Brigeeta is also a trusted advisor on internal investigations and corporate compliance. She is frequently called on to lead whistleblower investigations, advise management teams on risk mitigation and support companies navigating cyber breaches, disclosure issues and regulatory scrutiny.
Clients value her ability to operate seamlessly across jurisdictions and collaborate with regulators and enforcement agencies in North America, Europe and Asia. Her combination of litigation insight, regulatory experience and strategic foresight makes her a go-to advisor for global and luxury brands facing complex enforcement challenges.
