Casey Stiemer

Casey Stiemer is an associate in Gowling WLG's Calgary office, practising in construction law. 

Casey has experience dealing with disputes arising from large-scale construction and engineering projects. In the context of these disputes, she has assisted with matters on behalf of owners, general contractors, and subcontractors. In particular, Casey has experience with claims related to:

• Disputes involving critical path delay and productivity loss 

• Cost overruns 

• Force Majeure 

• Defects, deficiencies, workmanship

• Contract interpretation

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Casey practised in the corporate/commercial litigation group of a leading National law firm. Casey has assisted with matters at all levels of court in Alberta and Saskatchewan as well as matters before the Supreme Court of Canada. Casey also has significant experience assisting with arbitrations under a variety of procedural rules.
