Charlotte Williams is a summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office. In her second year, Charlotte volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada to bring legal information in French to Calgary's diverse francophone population. Charlotte also completed an internship at the Court of King's Bench, for which she provided legal research and writing in French. These combined experiences have given Charlotte a taste for bilingual written and oral advocacy.
Charlotte has a Journalism BA from Concordia University, where she honed a passion for storytelling and learning across disciplines to better understand the stories she reported. Shortly after graduating, Charlotte was drawn to Vancouver's fast-paced commercial film industry. As a production coordinator, she oversaw complex filming projects and helped start-ups and legacy brands alike bring their bright ideas to the big screen. Charlotte has served on the board of the Commercial Production Association of Western Canada since 2023.
Charlotte has an innate interest in people, and highly values developing strong relationships in and outside of the workplace. After many years of working in client-facing roles, Charlotte looks forward to bringing her curiosity and relentless work ethic to her advocacy work with Gowling WLG. As a returning summer student, Charlotte is most excited to try a little of everything - and to join the firm's slo-pitch team!
