Harshal Dalal is Gowling WLG (Canada) LLP’s head of marketing operations.
Harnessing more than 20 years of technology-led marketing experience, Harshal leads a cross-functional team responsible for serving internal clients across the firm’s offices in Canada and China. In this capacity, he is charged with overseeing a number of vital marketing-related areas, including business intelligence, communications, design, digital marketing, events and translation, as well as the firm’s alumni program.
Whether influencing business strategy, optimizing processes or leading transformative initiatives, Harshal approaches opportunities and obstacles alike with pragmatism, determination and an entrepreneurial spirit. He complements these qualities with a keen understanding of the commercial landscape, a sophisticated embrace of the latest in marketing technology and a unique global perspective, having worked in several countries over the course of his career.
Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Harshal held roles of increasing responsibility at some of the world’s leading professional services firms – including a large Canadian law firm, Deloitte and CGI – as well as at a number of major financial institutions.
Harshal holds a post-graduate diploma in business administration with an emphasis on marketing and international business, along with various professional credentials, including Project Management Professional (PMP), Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP). In 2003, he led a team that received the DM Review World Class Solution Award in the “Business Intelligence” category.
