
Bio
Jasmine Dobbin is a summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office.
Jasmine is currently pursuing a juris doctor at the University of Calgary. During her first year of law school, she volunteered as a caseworker for Student Legal Assistance, providing legal services for low-income Calgarians. This spring, she successfully resolved her client’s criminal matter, leading to a complete withdrawal from charges. Jasmine was also recently elected as 2L Representative for the Women in Law Students’ Association and looks forward to facilitating collaboration among her peers and the fabulous women of the Calgary Bar.
Prior to attending law school, Jasmine earned a bachelor of arts with high distinction, majoring in sociology, and minoring in law & society at the University of British Columbia. During her degree, she volunteered with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, held multiple leadership roles in her student organizations, and strengthened her client-facing skills working in the service industry. With an innate desire to be an advocate, Jasmine anticipates a rewarding career in law and assures integrity in every case that crosses her desk.
Jasmine enjoys hot yoga, reading classic literature, and travelling on a dime.
