Jason Brandt

Jason Brandt is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office. 

Jason obtained his JD at the University of Alberta.

His interest in IP stems from his extensive experience in the world of chemistry. Before deciding to attend law school, Jason was a postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University, working on developing new catalytic systems for polymer synthesis. He received his PhD, specializing in organic and inorganic synthesis and novel reaction development, from the University of British Columbia and was an NSERC scholarship holder. He also obtained an honours BSc in chemistry from the University of Alberta, where he served as co-chair of the 2012 Western Canadian Undergraduate Chemistry Conference and was VP of the Chemistry Student’s Association.
