Joel Hacker

Joel Hacker is an associate lawyer in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practising in the Real Estate Group. His practice focuses primarily on commercial real estate, leasing, development, and financing transactions.

Prior to joining the firm’s Real Estate Group, Joel spent over two years as part of Gowling WLG’s Disputes Group upon his call to the Ontario bar in 2024, where he gained experience in various litigation matters, mediation-arbitration proceedings, and other family law cases.

Joel received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Saskatchewan, College of Law in 2023. Prior to law school, Joel attended Carleton University, receiving a Bachelor of Art’s degree in law and legal studies in 2020.
