Lisa A. MacDonnell

Lisa MacDonnell is a partner in Gowling WLG's Toronto office and a member of the Financial Institutions & Services Group. Her practice encompasses a broad range of banking, restructuring, real estate and business law related areas.

Lisa acts for both lenders and corporate borrowers in secured and unsecured lending transactions, including syndicated financings, asset-based loan transactions, project and acquisition loans, real estate financings, and term and revolving facilities. Lisa also acts for receivers and secured creditors on insolvency matters, including commercial mortgage enforcement.

Lisa summered and articled with Gowling WLG. During her articling term, she was seconded to the legal department of one of Canada's largest financial institutions.

While pursuing her law degree, Lisa was involved with Pro Bono Students Canada. Prior to entering the practice of law, Lisa worked for one of Canada's largest financial institutions in a variety of positions.

Lisa provides legal advice to ACCESS Community Capital Fund, a federal not-for-profit corporation that seeks to improve access to credit for new and emerging small businesses and individuals engaged in training and related accreditation programs in the City of Toronto.
