Madelaine Desaulniers

Madelaine Desaulniers is an articling student in Gowling WLG's Calgary office. She is interested in practising in the areas of health law and commercial litigation.

Madelaine earned her JD at the University of Victoria. Throughout law school, Madelaine worked as a research assistant and quality assurance analyst at Diana M. Priestly Law Library, gaining valuable experience assisting on a variety of legal topics. She actively volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, where she carried out research on restorative justice, criminal law and health law.

Prior to attending law school, Madelaine obtained a bachelor of criminology with honours from Simon Fraser University. She completed a thesis researching the admittance of brain scan evidence in the legal arena.

In her free time, Madelaine enjoys spending time outdoors summiting the Canadian Rockies' 11000ers, backcountry skiing and ice climbing. She also enjoys exploring new countries.
