Naomi Austin

Naomi Austin is a summer student in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office. She is completing her JD at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law.

During her time in law school, Naomi has volunteered with the Pro Bono Students Canada Indigenous Legal Information Project and Student Legal Assistance as a caseworker.

Prior to law school, Naomi completed her bachelor of arts in psychology with distinction at the University of Calgary. She worked with a local non-profit to develop a digital mental health startup database and as a research coordinator in the psychology department at the University of Calgary.

Naomi is passionate about law because of the opportunity to work in and learn from a variety of industries. She is open to learning about all areas of law, but is primarily interested in energy, regulatory, administrative, and Indigenous law.

In her free time, Naomi enjoys cooking, skiing, whale watching, and hiking.
