Pam Vermeersch

Pam Vermeersch is the managing partner of Gowling WLG's Hamilton office who advises on all aspects of corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, restructuring, and franchising.

Pam has developed wide-ranging legal experience, having advised international clients on how to manage the Canadian aspects of cross-border mergers and acquisitions; large manufacturers on the negotiation of supply, distribution and other commercial agreements; and multinational organizations on corporate governance matters relating to their Canadian subsidiary. She has also advised domestic and foreign franchisors on all aspects of their franchise and distribution system, from the establishment of the system to their ongoing operations throughout Canada.

Pam understands the challenges of establishing and conducting business in Canada and credits her success to her unwavering commitment to prompt, personable service and her ability to be flexible to match the job at hand. Pam enhanced her understanding of these challenges through a secondment with a Canadian subsidiary of a multinational manufacturing company.

When not acting for clients, Pam enjoys giving back to her community. She is a frequent speaker at the Hamilton Law Association's annual Corporate Commercial Seminar.
