Rachel B. Runge

Rachel is a civil litigation lawyer who strives to identify cost-effective and timely solutions for her clients while working to ensure they understand each step of the litigation process.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Rachel articled and practised at one of Canada’s leading insurance defence litigation firms where she developed a particular interest in the areas of construction negligence, professional negligence and first-party insurance claims.  She has represented clients before the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Small Claims Court of Ontario and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal. 

Rachel is actively interested in professional development with a particular focus on civil procedure and the development of advocacy techniques. She has presented to legal and industry associations and her clients on various topics, including expert opinion evidence, limitation periods, and most recently, adverse costs insurance.
