Bio
Rayan Ibrahim is a summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office.
Rayan is enrolled in the Common Law in French program at the University of Ottawa and has completed his first year of study. Prior to entering law school, Rayan graduated with an Honours bachelor of health sciences from the University of Ottawa, where he completed an Honours thesis and a specialization in population and public health. As an avid skier and hiker, Rayan has a passion for the outdoors. Most recently, he co-founded the Common law Outdoors Club de plein air en common law. Rayan also has a passion for culture, cinema and fine arts including theater, music and opera.
Rayan has volunteered at the Bruyère Research Institute and Ottawa Law Review as an assistant editor. He has worked for the federal government in multiple departments, including the Canadian Centre for Veterinary Biologics, the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages, and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
Rayan will focus his summer term in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group.
