Sam Tecle

Sam Tecle is an associate in the advocacy department of Gowling WLG’s Vancouver office. Sam practices in the areas of labour & employment law, intellectual property law, general commercial litigation, and insurance and professional liability. Sam has experience representing clients in both the Provincial Court of British Columbia and the Supreme Court of British Columbia. He provides clients with thoughtful, practical advice and resolves clients’ disputes in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Sam served as law clerk for the Honourable Robert L. Barnes at the Federal Court of Canada. Sam completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria, after which he lived and worked in South Korea for several years. Sam subsequently returned to Canada and received his JD from Thompson Rivers University, Faculty of Law, during which time he participated in an exchange at the National University of Singapore, Faculty of Law.

When Sam is not in the office, he enjoys catching live music, spending time with family and friends, and travelling.
