Zoe Pearman

Zoe Pearman is a senior associate in the Intellectual Property (IP) team, based in London. She has experience across the full range of IP rights, but has a particular interest in advertising, trademarks, designs, copyright and defamation law.

Zoe regularly acts for clients in relation to a wide range of contentious and non-contentious IP matters, including advising clients on trademark and design infringement disputes, advertising and sponsorship arrangements, assignment and licensing matters and assisting on corporate transactions.

Zoe is a member of The Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA), and has completed the University of Oxford Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice and University College London's IP Transactions: Law and Practice course.

Zoe is a co-chair of ThinkHouse Foundations, Gowling WLG's tailored programme for junior in-house counsel. Zoe is responsible for organising and chairing events throughout the year providing useful knowledge and practical tips to those who are starting their in-house legal careers.

Experience

  • Acting as Brand Protection Officer for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. This included undertaking brand enforcement during Games time.
  • Seconded to Jaguar Land Rover assisting the in-house legal team on sponsorship and endorsement contracts.
  • Advising a client on the global enforcement of its trademark portfolio, and co-ordinating enforcement through a network of local attorneys.
  • Worked as part of the core litigation team acting for a design owner in the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court.
  • Dealing with the IP aspects of the purchase of Lacka Foods (who own and manufacture ŰFIT, the UK's number one ready-to-drink high-protein shake brand) by Weetabix.
  • Successfully obtaining an injunction for a client in the High Court against an individual infringing our client's copyright.
  • Advising on advertising clearance, promotions and ASA complaints.
