Bio
Sana Khan is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office.
Sana completed her JD at the University of Calgary where she volunteered on the UCalgary Pro Bono Students Canada executive team as the social media & marketing coordinator. Prior to attending law school, Sana achieved the following degrees from the University of Calgary: Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resources) from the Haskayne School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology). Both degrees were obtained with distinction.
While completing her undergraduate degrees and law school, Sana worked at the Alberta Children’s Hospital as an emergency department admitting clerk. Prior to this position, Sana was an accounting summer student for a local oilfield service company.
During her undergraduate studies, Sana was president of the University of Calgary’s Mustard Seed club, an organization that raises awareness and funds for the local homeless shelter. Additionally, Sana volunteered with Students for Literacy, where she provided weekly English tutoring sessions to developmentally delayed and ESL students at the University of Calgary. Sana continues to volunteer with Hospice Calgary for the annual Hike for Hospice fundraiser.
Sana is most interested in mergers & acquisitions, corporate commercial and private equity law.
