Gowlings once again named among world’s leading IP firms by Managing Intellectual Property
For the 19th consecutive year, Gowlings has been named among the world’s leading copyright, patent and trademark firms by Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) through its annual World IP Survey, considered one of the world’s premier independent evaluators of IP firms.
The results of the survey contribute to MIP’s two annual global guides, IP Stars Handbook —Trade Mark and Copyright and IP Stars Handbook — Patents, identifying the most highly recommended firms and practitioners in the IP field, with results published incrementally during the first half of the year.
All results for 2015 have now been published, and Gowlings is the only firm to earn tier one status in all Canadian categories of these handbooks, including: Copyright, Patent Contentious, Patent Prosecution, Trade Mark Contentious and Trade Mark Prosecution.
Gowlings' leading IP professionals have also earned a total of 18 individual “IP Star” designations across the two handbooks, as follows:
IP Stars Handbook — Trade Mark and Copyright
David Aylen | Robert A. MacDonald |
IP Stars Handbook — Patents
Alexander Christophoroff | Marc Richard |
Earlier this year, Gowlings also won Canadian “Firm of the Year” awards in two categories at the Managing Intellectual Property North America Awards.
As one of the world’s pre-eminent intellectual property law firms, Gowlings is home to top-tier practices in patents, trademarks, copyright, IP litigation, life sciences and more.
