Billy Katelanos

Billy Katelanos is a partner in Gowling WLG's Montréal office, practising in the areas of civil and commercial litigation.

Billy has developed significant experience in class action matters and is currently acting in two class actions, one involving a retail price-fixing scheme across various markets in Québec and the other regarding the wholesale price of gas in Québec.

He also frequently acts in complex cases pertaining to banking, construction issues, distribution and franchising agreements, environmental litigation and competition law as well as litigation involving constitutional issues at the juncture of the civil and criminal systems. Billy has pleaded before the Supreme Court of Canada as well as other levels of Court and has experience in multi-million dollar arbitrations and mediations. He also sits on the firm's Board of Trustees since January 2022. 

Billy practices law in French and English. He is fluent in Greek and Italian.
