• IP Commercialization: Jayde excels in commercial IP services, conducting IP due diligence for transactions and supporting clients by negotiating and drafting a wide range of IP transactional agreements, such as information technology, licensing, co-development, research, collaboration, and services agreements. She also contributes to the CLEBC Due Diligence Deskbook on IP issues.
• IP Prosecution and Portfolio Management: Jayde works with both local and multinational clients on IP prosecution and portfolio management, covering patents, designs, and trademarks. Her patent practice is focused on the biotech, medical device, and food-tech industries, where she leverages her advanced science degree. Jayde helps clients strengthen brand protection by guiding the creation of distinctive brands, conducting screening and clearance assessments, securing registered trademark and industrial design protection, and navigating regulatory and advertising issues.

Beyond her legal practice, Jayde is actively involved in bar associations, industry organizations, and her community. She serves as Vice Chair of the Life Sciences Committee of the Licensing Executives Society International, Co-Chair of the International Trademark Association’s Commercialization of Brands Committee (Advertising and Regulations Subcommittee), and Member-at-Large of the Canadian Bar Association’s National Intellectual Property Law Section.
