Jonathan Nisar

Jonathan is an associate lawyer at Gowling WLG's Calgary office, specializing in construction law. With prior experience at a leading insurance litigation firm, he has successfully represented clients in construction, subrogation, commercial contract disputes, and personal injury cases. Specific to the construction and engineering industry, Jonathan is adept at defending claims for insurance coverage providers and industry professionals like architects and builders. He has appeared before Alberta and Manitoba courts and has successfully negotiated case settlements with esteemed mediators and Justices.

Beyond his legal career, he enjoys staying physically active, travelling to new destinations, and indulging his passion for motorcycling. Jonathan contributes to his community as a dedicated volunteer with STARS Air Ambulance and Samaritan’s Purse. He is also a member of the Canadian Construction Association, and the Calgary Bar Association in the Insurance Law Section.
