Gowling WLG advises on the Arden Cross site development around the HS2 Interchange

International law firm Gowling WLG, is advising on the development of the 346 acre Arden Cross site, the masterplan for which has just been launched showcasing a £3billion regeneration project to create an ultra-connected hub for business, learning, leisure and living around the new HS2 Interchange Station.

The site is part of the UK Central Hub, which comprises The NEC and Resorts World, Birmingham Airport, Birmingham Business Park and Jaguar Land Rover, and will deliver a game changing legacy for the area. The exciting project is aiming to boost the regional economy by £1bn, create and support up to 27,000 jobs as well as thousands of homes and six million sq. ft. of commercial space.

A multi-disciplinary, cross-firm team of experts from the firm are advising Arden Cross on a range of legal matters spanning real estate, corporate, tax and infrastructure.

Project lead and real estate partner Nisha Jassal, who has been working closely with Arden Cross for a number of years, said:

In the Spring 2021 Budget the Chancellor announced £50 million in funding had been allocated to the Arden Cross development, in a major boost for the project.
