McMaster Innovation Park acquires Hamilton Spectator building

On March 3, 2020, McMaster Innovation Park ("MIP") announced its acquisition of The Hamilton Spectator building at 44 Frid Street in Hamilton, Ontario. MIP plans to convert the building into a state-of-the-art hub complete with labs and office space for emerging life sciences companies.

Gowling WLG advised MIP with respect to this acquisition with a team led by Mark Giavedoni (real estate) and that also included Sacha Babic and Aaron Goldstein (corporate), and Eric Rockefeller, Travis Evens and Richard Dusome (financing).
