Luc Deshaies elected as a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers

03 July 2018

Luc Deshaies, a partner in Gowling WLG's Montréal office, has been elected as a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, a rare honour reserved only for the most dedicated and accomplished labour and employment lawyers in North America. Deshaies is the first professional at Gowling WLG to obtain this distinction.

A recognized leader in his field, Deshaies represents employers in complex collective and individual labour relations matters, and has appeared before all judicial and administrative labour tribunals in Québec. He is a former president of the Bar of Montréal, and he is frequently distinguished in a number of prestigious legal publications, including Chambers Canada, Lexpert, The Best Lawyers in Canada and the Who's Who Legal series.

Based in Annapolis, Maryland, the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers endeavors to promote excellence, establish professional standards and celebrate achievements in the practice of employment and labour law — as well as to serve as a vital resource for academia, governments, judiciaries and other key audiences.

The installation of Fellows will be held on November 10, 2018 in San Francisco, coincident with the American Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section's Continuing Legal Education Conference.
