Jayde Wood

Jayde Wood is an intellectual property lawyer, patent agent, and trademark agent based in Gowling WLG's Vancouver office.
With extensive experience in IP prosecution, portfolio management, and licensing, Jayde assists clients in protecting, growing, leveraging, and monetizing their IP assets throughout the business lifecycle. Organizations of varying sizes and sectors retain Jayde for her comprehensive, interdisciplinary, and strategic approach to IP matters.
In addition to her legal practice, Jayde is actively involved in bar associations, industry organizations, and her community. She serves as the Vice Chair of the Life Sciences Committee of the Licensing Executives Society International, Co-Chair of the International Trademark Association’s the Commercialization of Brands Committee, Advertising and Regulations Subcommittee, and Chair of the Canadian Bar Association, British Columbia Branch, Intellectual Property & Technology Law Section. She is a former Director of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (British Columbia) Society, a former Director of the Vancouver International Arbitration Centre, and has taught the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada’s Trademark Agent and Patent Agent Courses.
Jayde has law degrees from the University of British Columbia and the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
