Zoe Pearman

Zoe supports a wide range of clients across a full range of intellectual property rights. She has a broad experience of dealing with intellectual property matters in both a contentious and non-contentious context, but has a particular interest in brands and designs.

She enjoys transactional work and advising on contractual agreements. She spent time on secondment at Jaguar Land Rover assisting the in-house legal team on commercial contracts, and continues to advise and work on IP agreements including licences and assignments. She also regularly supports the corporate team by advising on the intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions.

In addition, she enjoys working with clients to enforce and protect their brand and intellectual property rights. Zoe supports clients on individual enforcement matters, including litigation, and by managing large enforcement projects to protect clients' global intellectual property portfolios. She also has recent experience acting for a designs-led company in litigation in the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court (IPEC).

Experience

  • Seconded to Jaguar Land Rover.
  • Acting for a design-led baby product company throughout the full litigation process in the Intellectual Property Enterprise court.
  • Co-ordinating and enforcing a number of global brand enforcement projects, liaising with a network of attorneys to ensure client's rights are protected worldwide.
  • Advising a consumer goods client on the global enforcement of its patent and trade mark portfolio against infringers and counterfeiters, and co-ordinating enforcement through a network of local attorneys.
  • Conducting clearance work for a number of consumer goods brands across a number of sectors.
  • Advising on the contracts governing the remake of a famous and iconic advert.
  • Advising on the IP aspects of a cross-jurisdictional acquisition of a solar installation business.
  • Supporting the corporate team on a number of due diligence exercises.
