Charlotte Chambon

With a keen interest in trademark and patent litigation, Charlotte assists French and international clients in defending and protecting their intellectual property rights.
She is involved on both transactional and contentious aspects, from developing pre-litigation strategies to representing clients in court, including drafting and filing pleadings before the courts. She is registered as a UPC representative.
In addition to her litigation practice, Charlotte advises clients on transactional IP matters, particularly the negotiation and drafting of agreements. She is also engaged in professional associations and contributes to discussions on IP law with peers.
Before joining Gowling WLG in June 2024, she spent three years at Reed Smith LLP with Marianne Schaffner. She has been trained in a global law firm with a reputable IP department as well as at a major chemical company.
Membership: AIPPI, APRAM, APEB. Charlotte is also in charge of commenting on new UPC decisions during the AIPPI UPC Committee meetings, which are held every six weeks.
Charlotte is an active member of the AIPPI Young Committee, being in particular part of the team in charge of organising an annual IP mock trial for two years, for two pairs of trainees and junior associates.
Charlotte also participates in the drafting of a report for AIPPI 2026 Trademark Study Question, on the topic "Parody (and freedom of expression) as a defence to trademark infringement".
