Gabrielle Matheson is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Vancouver office practicing in the firm’s Advocacy and Environmental groups. She maintains a broad litigation and regulatory practice with experience representing clients in a range of commercial and civil matters involving environmental liability, project development, natural resource development and corporate disputes. Gabrielle is called to the Bar in Alberta, British Columbia and the Yukon, and has experience before courts as well as in arbitration and before administrative tribunals.
Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Gabrielle was a judicial law clerk at the British Columbia Court of Appeal.
Gabrielle received her JD from the Peter A. Allard School of Law (UBC), where she studied as a JD student fellow for the Centre for Law and the Environment. While in law school, she competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition and received the Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats Prize in Public International Law.
Prior to law school, Gabrielle completed a BA in political science at Queen’s University and an MA in political science at the University of British Columbia. Her research focused on international environmental politics.
