Jennifer R.L. Young

Jennifer Young is a legal services lead in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office.

Jennifer works in the area of health law and medical defence, supporting lawyers acting as counsel to the Canadian Medical Protective Association. Her responsibilities include developing new strategies, streamlining processes, training employees, maintaining best practices, and drafting key correspondence for high-profile cases.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Jennifer worked as a law clerk for an Ottawa criminal law firm and as a reporting analyst with a large manufacturing company in Edmonton.

Jennifer was born and raised in Ottawa, attended Queen’s University in Kingston, and is an advocate for mental health awareness.
