Lori O'Brien

Lori O'Brien is a law clerk in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, working in the advocacy department.

Since joining the firm in 1996, Lori has been specializing in the area of medical defence litigation. With 20 years of experience in litigation, Lori prepares all documentation relating to defence litigation, including pleadings, affidavits of documents, chronologies, motion materials, mediation briefs and pre-trial conference briefs. Lori liaises with and retains experts to give opinions on medical defence files. She is involved with all aspects of work within the medical defence group.

Lori has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure. She also has experience with the organization and daily management of large files and experience in trial preparation.
