Olivia Lifman

Olivia Lifman is an associate in Gowling WLG's Toronto office and a member of the firm's Business Law Group. Olivia practises in the areas of corporate and commercial law, and she works closely with domestic and international private company clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, as well as general corporate and commercial matters across a number of industries.
Olivia's practical, thorough, and measured approach ensures excellence in the service she provides. She has experience with share and asset purchase transactions, implementing complex corporate reorganizations, and negotiating commercial contracts. Within Gowling WLG she is also an avid mentor to students and younger professionals in their career development.
Olivia summered and articled with the firm before becoming an associate. She earned her JD from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. Prior to her legal studies, Olivia obtained a M. Phil in Modern and Contemporary Literature from the University of Cambridge, and a First Class Honours BA in English Literature and International Relations from McGill University.
