Navraj (Nav) Pannu

Nav Pannu is an associate in Gowling WLG's Toronto office.

Nav practises securities law, with a focus on corporate finance, stock exchange listings, and mergers & acquisitions. He also provides counsel to businesses on general corporate and commercial law matters.

Throughout his career, Nav has advised startups and small- and medium-sized businesses on debt and equity financing, public and private M&A, and going public transactions. He has also assisted reporting issuers with maintaining their listing requirements and disclosure obligations.

In addition to his securities practice, Nav has advised cannabis companies – such as Health Canada licensed producers, industrial hemp licensees, and provincially licensed cannabis retailers – on general corporate and commercial, licensing, and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Nav was an in-house lawyer for a global, publicly traded cannabis company, working in both Canada and newly emerging cannabis and hemp markets. He has also worked on a hemp farm with a startup.
