Taylor Kapusianyk is a partner in Gowling WLG's Calgary office, practising in the areas of commercial and insurance litigation with an emphasis on construction and professional liability defence.
Taylor has successfully represented his clients in matters before the Alberta Court of Appeal, the Alberta Court of King's Bench and the Alberta Court of Justice. He also has experience representing his clients in actions commenced in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Prior to joining Gowling WLG as an articling student in 2014, Taylor obtained a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Political Science and Economics from the University of British Columbia and a Juris Doctor degree with honours from Bond University in Queensland, Australia.
Taylor is actively involved in his community and volunteers his time by providing legal advice to self-represented and low-income litigants through the Civil Claims Duty Counsel and King's Bench Amicus programs offered by Pro Bono Law Alberta. In 2018, he was recognized by Pro Bono Law Alberta as the lawyer who attended the most CCDC and QB Amicus volunteer shifts from his office. Taylor previously held the executive position of secretary with the Canadian Bar Association's Young Lawyers Section for the 2017-2018 term.
