Tristan Neill
Associate
- Year of Call, Ontario (2019)

Tristan Neill is a construction lawyer who helps municipalities, institutions, developers, and construction companies resolve disputes throughout the lifecycle of construction and infrastructure projects across Ontario. He understands that legal decisions can affect every stage of a project and provides advice that reflects not only the law but also the commercial and operational realities of construction.
Tristan's practice includes dispute management and litigation, with a particular focus on delay, deficiency, lien, and payment matters. In addition to representing clients in litigation, he helps them make informed decisions before problems escalate and resolve disputes efficiently when they arise.
Tristan also advises on contract drafting and negotiation, enabling clients to establish clear contractual frameworks, allocate risk effectively, and support successful project delivery.
Beyond his construction practice, Tristan assists property owners, tenants, and business owners with expropriation matters, guiding them through the legal and strategic considerations that arise throughout the process.
Recognized by both Chambers Canada and The Legal 500 Canada since 2023, Tristan frequently presents on developments in construction law and contributes to Gowling WLG's annual "Expropriation Law: A Year in Review."
Clients value Tristan's clear, commercially grounded advice, his ability to develop strategies that align with their objectives, and his focus on resolving matters efficiently.
