Gowling WLG partnership grows with addition of 36 new partners in Canada & Russia
Gowling WLG (Canada) LLP is pleased to announce the admission of 36 legal professionals in Canada and Russia to its partnership, effective January 1, 2020.
The incoming partners possess a wide range of expertise across the firm's business law, litigation and intellectual property practices. They are located in the firm's seven offices in Canada, as well as its office in Moscow.
"I am delighted to congratulate our new partners on this significant career milestone. We look forward to their ongoing contributions to the success of Gowling WLG and its clients across Canada, Russia, China and around the world," said Peter Lukasiewicz, CEO of Gowling WLG Canada.
Last year, the firm introduced a number of measures to minimize the risk of unconscious gender bias in the firm's partnership admission process and ensure that all candidates are considered in an equitable manner. Those measures were explained in more detail in a recent episode of Diversonomics, the firm's podcast on diversity and inclusion in the global legal industry.
