In his banking & finance practice, Danhoé assists lenders, investors and businesses with finance transactions (real estate, LBO, guarantee, syndicated, receivable-backed facilities…) and provides advice on European and French banking and financial regulations. In his real estate practice, Danhoé advises real estate players not only with their real estate finance transactions but also with their commercial leases, their acquisitions, their asset and property management agreements and their merger and other corporate transactions, coordinating the work of specialists where appropriate.
In his compliance practice, Danhoé advises various organisations with the adaptation of their contracts to French law and on complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). He drafts contracts, policies, privacy notices, records of processing activities and audit reports.
Dan, who was born in Montreal, studied law at McGill University and qualified in Ontario before moving to France in 2001, where he completed a business law degree from Université Paris 2 and qualified as a French lawyer in 2002. He practiced law at French law firm Lefèvre Pelletier & Associés almost 8 years before joining Gowling WLG (then named Wragge & Co) in 2010. He is also qualified as an attorney in New York. He holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD and passed the CFA Level 2 exam.
