Aleksandar (Sacha) Babic

Sacha Babic is a partner in Gowling WLG's Hamilton office where he is a member of the senior management team and head of the Corporate Commercial and the Real Estate & Lending practice groups.

He acts for and advises private sector clients of all sizes - from startups to multinationals - in respect of all aspects of corporate and commercial law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, corporate organization & restructuring, and private equity.

Sacha also acts for a number of public and quasi-public institutions (including universities, school boards and hydro utilities), regularly advising such clients in respect of matters involving both traditional corporate-commercial issues and unique sector-specific issues. With close to ties to such institutions and Hamilton's research-intensive and thriving innovation ecosystem, Sacha works with startups across an array of industries. He is focused on helping clients take groundbreaking research to market and bridging the gap between innovation and business.
